Agronomic Technical Assistance includes all those services which require an on-going relationship with the client, be it a private individual or a public body. While collaborating with numerous public green space entities, Studio Tovaglieri is always informed about the latest contractual and legal regulations; having gained experience working in numerous private parks and gardens, the Studio is always aware of the needs of its clients and is able to offer a high standard of maintenance of the green spaces; for 25 years it has been monitoring and managing various agricultural and horticultural facilities throughout Italy, it has knowledge of production cycles and is able to identify the critical stages of the cultivation process which is crucial in achieving quality, in containing costs and in reducing environmental impact.

Technical Assistance for Public Green Spaces

What does it involve

In the maintenance of urban public green spaces, technical know-how, knowledge of regulations and the operational problems associated, is essential in order to guide and organise the resources available (which are always scarce) with the aim of providing tools for administrators and answers to citizens. The qualified specialists at Studio Tovaglieri, who are trained and are always up-to-date, are able to assist Administrators and the Technical Departments of Bodies in finding the most appropriate, affordable and modern solutions to manage the green spaces in respect of the environment. From phytosanitary problems related to the wooded areas, to the computerised survey of the vegetation heritage; from the monitoring of biocompatible herbicides to the setting up of multi-annual management programmes to be contracted in compliance with the environmental minimum criteria rightly imposed by the regulations; from evaluating the safety of trees using the most modern technologies available, to the qualitative and quantitative control of the services performed by the firms that deal with green spaces; from the elaboration of a modern regulation for the development of public green space, to the organisation of events that provide information and raise public awareness about vegetation. The technical support service, which has been successfully provided to public administrations for 25 years, organises regular meetings for citizens around the territory held in public offices, with the presence of an agronomist. What does it involve

Regularly monitoring the state of health and safety of the vegetational heritage, enables to better manage the problems when they arise, allowing significant savings and no surprises. The technical assistance provided includes training and updating of operating staff so that they are more motivated, involved and more competent in what they do. Technical Assistance for Sports Green Areas

What does it involve

The maintenance of natural grass sports fields involves a series of operations calibrated in relation to how the facility is used. The majority of people, even from the sports world, believe that a lawn mower and a bit of fertiliser are sufficient. This is not the case and the results can be seen, particularly on football pitches that have hardly any grass on them, are full of holes and are neither nice to play on nor nice to see someone play on them. It is a common belief that keeping a sports field in good condition is expensive, but only a few actually turn to genuine grass professionals to wisely spend the little amount of money that’s available. Studio Tovaglieri, that has been working with soil and grass for 25 years using its own laboratory and a small but significant experimental field, is able to identify the critical points of sports pitches and draws up management and recovery plans which are shared with the people involved, and instructs operators and volunteers, who often offer their time to sports clubs, on how to implement them.
